I’m a serious sucker for a good pudding recipe. These creamy and delicious desserts are usually super easy to prepare with no unnecessary baking. And there are just so many fantastic variations!
We love our classic best homemade chocolate pudding and amazing homemade strawberry pudding for decadence, but practically dessert recipes.
That Chia Seed Pudding Pan is a healthy chocolate treat for people who can’t eat dairy or grains, or who are on a plant-based or vegan diet. Or, for anyone who is fair love chocolate and trying to enjoy desserts on the healthy side.
This simple chocolate pudding is made with only 5 ingredients and it only takes minutes to do. (Plus, winter.) The taste is rich with chocolate, while the texture is similar to tapioca pudding, because the chia seeds create soft bubbles around each pill. It’s those magic gel bubbles that thicken the dairy-free pudding.

- Unsweetened cocoa powder – high quality for the best taste
- Chia seeds – whole or ground, depending on texture preference
- Sugar-free cashew milk – or other plant-based milk you like, such as almond milk or black macadamia milk
- maple syrup – agave or honey can also be used for a non-vegan version that is still dairy-free
- Vanilla extract – or other flavored extracts, such as hazelnuts or almonds

How To Make Vegan Chocolate Pudding With Chia Seeds
Whisk up this chocolate pudding in just 5 minutes! It then needs a few do not touch winter hours before it has good thick consistency and cream.
I love making a bunch around with everyone when I had a second spare, and you have a perfectly decadent, dairy-free dessert pudding to enjoy after dinner – no baking or effort need!
To do this pudding easy and healthy recipe, first lay out a medium sized mixing bowl. Add the cocoa powder and chia seeds to the bowl, and whisk well to crush all the cocoa powder clumps.

In a separate measuring jar, whisk together the cashew milk (or preferably non-dairy milk), maple syrup, and vanilla. You can add a pinch of salt if you like, too. Pour this dairy-free mixture into the bowl with chia seeds and cocoa powder.
Whisk well, and place the mixture in the refrigerator to rest for 15-20 minutes. This allows chia seeds to release their thickening properties.

Then whisk well again. Either cover with refrigerator in the mixing bowl, or pour the pudding into small portions and chill. Just make sure your containers have lids if you plan to keep vegan chocolate pudding in the fridge overnight or longer.
